The Four Seasons Punta Mita
When it comes to choosing a beach destination we tend to focus on finding the perfect paradise, a place where the waters have changing hues of blue, where the sun shines brightly all day, the breeze gently shakes the palm trees and its coconuts rattle, a place where we feel so disconnected from our realities that we can call it a real getaway.
This is a promise held by The Four Seasons Punta Mita, they bring the whole package and more, offering the ultimate bliss, coconuts included. Located just 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita offers an oasis of tranquility and exclusivity. The resort, which shares its coast with another high-end hotel, a golf course and several residences, provides an unbeatable experience.
Offering some of the best scuba, fishing and golf, Punta Mita brings together a vacation of adventure and relaxation. The Four Seasons itself organizes your golf rounds, scuba diving mornings and even surfing lessons. You thought it might be too late to learn something new? Definitely not, here you will get a chance to try all those activities you've been putting off.
One of the best deals the resort offers is a tour to Marietas islands. This is one of the gems in Mexico, a small beach inside a rocky volcanic island in the middle of the ocean provides an amazing experience and a definite must see in Punta Mita. The resort will take you there by boat and you will be guided in-and-out of the islands and the surrounding sites, as well as experience some snorkel or test the waters with stand up paddle in a corner of the ocean where no one will bother you.
When it comes to the on-site amenities this resort has to offer, The Four Seasons Punta Mita has three restaurants and a bar at each pool as well as the beach, a smoothie bar, several high-end boutiques, and a kids zone. If total relaxation is what you are seeking, the recently renovated gym and spa is fantastic and includes everything from personal trainers to unique massages and services, or simply head over to enjoy the Jacuzzis and sauna.
Lastly, the resort has three pools each with a different style and feel, the spectacular "Nuna" infinity pool that views out to the beach and the pacific is my favorite because you truly feel like you are standing in paradise. The lazy river might seem like a child's attraction but in reality one can let troubles glide away as you lay on a float. Last but not least, is the "Tamai" pool exclusive for adults, which is perfect for aqua-yoga and pilates, or a good hideaway for those seeking a break from the splish and splash of the kids.
The beach has two different areas, both equally great and filled with an array of beach beds, loungers, cabanas, and even swing chairs. Additionally, the "Las Cuevas" beach provides different activities and their equipment for kayaking, stand-up paddle, snorkeling, etc.
Apart from the resort itself being an oasis, guests will receive the ultimate pampering during your stay. Part of the beauty of this haven is the service and amenities offered. One of my favorite perks is the hourly treats brought to you poolside or beachside throughout the day. On a daily basis starting at 11am until 4pm you get to try some local flavors like a hibiscus infusion, natural fruit popsicles, tamarind/mango smoothies, and even tequila, or my personal favorite, chocolate ice cream from the ice cream truck that comes out at 3pm everyday.
These can vary based on the season and availability but you can always be sure they will not disappoint. In addition, while you are relaxing you may experience a visit from the "sunglass doctor", a man who will save you from a problem you didn't think you even had. He will complimentary fix and clean your sunglasses so you may continue to enjoy these stunning views.
Overall, regardless who you choose to visit with, The Four Seasons Punta Mita is sure to provide a magnificent experience. We have come back from previous visits from how delighted we were and we are sure to keep coming back to this paradise. Simply put, this is the best home away from home.
Till next time Punta Mita,
