El Invernadero - Tea Time in Madrid

Gran Via, is the grand street of Madrid known for it's commerce and most of all its iconic buildings. Today the hustle and bustle of both tourists and local fill this street day & night. We stopped by for tea time in a quaint little hideaway inside of Salvador Bachiller's store. From the outside you just see a store with suitcases, bags and home decor, though once inside you see a set of spiral stairs that lead you to a hidden "greenhouse" as stated by the name of the place -- El Invernadero --

I ordered a kobe beef burger and my friend a quinoa salad. Though the drinks and specially teas and desserts are what this place is known for. I had a special infusion that appealed just from the name; "Corazon Loco" (Crazy Heart) which was a curious little concoction of most berries and roses. My friend went on the sweeter tooth for a unique "Apple Pie" green tea. We both had dessert as well, me going for the obvious choice of Sacher Tart (heaven's gift of the best chocolate cake) and my friend had the carrot cake. Overall we found this little gem charming and a must for girls tea time. We will be coming back shortly to have a selection of their cocktails.

Till then,
